Today's (worship) service was full of joy as the choir master led the praise Team to worship God and charged the congregation with praises. Everybody was moved in the power of the Holy Ghost and praised the Lord with all the might.
        After session of praises and worship, the pastor, in person of pastor Emmanuel Ehinmide one of the pioneering member of this church who is now the pastor in charge of Gospel Assembly Intercontinental, Oke - kukuru, kabba, kogi state, Nigeria. came up to the pulpit to preach a message titled "BLESSING ACCOMPANIED WITH WORK". He took his text from the book of Genesis 1:1-3, psalm 1:1-4 and 2 Peter 2:21-22.
        He began his message by saying that "if you want God to bless you this year, walk with Him, find something to do and don't be lazy(slow coach)". He went further to say that some people want God's blessings but refuse to work. He pointed out that the blessings of God are embedded in the word of God; therefore whoever wanted God to bless him/her should cultivate the attitude of studying the word of God (Scripture) and meditate in it. But it is amazing that many christians today want already - made and this is what brought about many false prophets  that are in increase in this our society today. Failure to walk in the ways of God this year means failure to receive blessing from God, he said:
        Furthermore he said, if you walk with God this year, you will be like a tree planted beside the river, according to psalm 1:3. And if you don't want God to blow you off like chaff you had better walk with Him and obey Him - Psalm 1:4.
        He said, most of us had gone back to our vomit to leak it again - 2 Peter 2:22, He also said, those who turned back to leak their vomit, are they who go back to the sins they have confessed and even vowed not to commit it again. For examples, some people drinking farewell but today they back  into it again; Some vowed not to smoke again but unfortunately they have broken the vow e.t.c. You cannot be committing sins and think that God will bless you.
         Consider (or check) yourself and amend your ways so that the blessing of God may be upon(or locate) you this year. He concluded: After the message, our pastor, Pastor Stephen Sunday Maliki (JP) led us in powerful prayers. Below are few out of the prayer points he mentioned to us to pray about.
(1) Tell God to direct you in the way He wanted you to follow(go).
(2) Tell God to help you not to go back to your vomit.
(3) Tell God to bless you and give you that, which you desire from Him this year.
         Finally, I urge you to pray the above mentioned prayer points and make sure you abide by the message that is summoned.
